I Need My Clubhouse Painted in Clear Island Waters

Integra Paint recently completed an interior painting project at a clubhouse in Clear Island Waters on the Gold Coast.

The job involved repainting the ceilings, walls and woodwork throughout several areas of the clubhouse, including the office, billiards room, kitchen, toilet lobby, main clubhouse area and entry lobby.

There were a few different colours and finishes used throughout the building. The main wall colour was Lexicon Quarter, while Endless Dusk and Moorland were used on selected doors, frames, columns and feature areas.

The entry lobby also had Lexicon Quarter applied in a semi-gloss water-based finish, while the ceilings were finished in Lexicon Quarter.

What Areas of the Clubhouse Did We Paint?

The painting work covered several areas of the clubhouse, with the walls, ceilings and woodwork all being refreshed.

The areas included the office, billiards room, kitchen, toilet lobby, main clubhouse and entry lobby.

Because different colours were being used throughout the building, we had to keep track of the colour and finish requirements for each area rather than treating the whole clubhouse as one standard repaint.

What Colour Did We Use on the Clubhouse Walls?

For most of the clubhouse, the main wall colour was Lexicon Quarter.

Lexicon Quarter was used in the office, kitchen, toilet lobby and main clubhouse areas. It was also used in the entry lobby, where a semi-gloss water-based finish was specified.

Using the same main colour across several areas helped keep the clubhouse looking consistent while allowing the darker colours to be used on selected architectural features.

Can You Paint the Doors and Frames a Different Colour to the Walls?

Yes. Using a different colour on doors, frames and other woodwork is a good way to add contrast without changing the whole room.

For this clubhouse project, Endless Dusk was used on a number of doors, door frames, columns and feature areas.

The darker colour helped define these areas against the lighter Lexicon Quarter walls.

Can You Repaint Clubhouse Ceilings, Walls and Woodwork at the Same Time?

Yes. A clubhouse or community facility can have multiple surfaces painted as part of the same project.

For this job, we painted the ceilings, walls and woodwork, including doors, frames, skirtings and columns.

Each surface needs to be assessed and prepared appropriately before painting, particularly where different existing coatings or surface conditions are involved.

What Does the Finished Clear Island Waters Clubhouse Look Like?

The finished clubhouse has a combination of lighter and darker colours throughout the different areas.

Lexicon Quarter provides the main light colour across the walls and ceilings, while Endless Dusk is used on doors, frames, skirtings, columns and the entry lobby feature band.

The billiards room uses Moorland on both the walls and doors and frames, giving that room a darker and more consistent look.
